I have found that it is a good idea to join a business that you are actually interested in. It is also a good idea to develop a budget for out of pocket expenses as well. There are many different types of businesses out there and it can be a bit confusing to decide between them. I went through a phase where I joined everything under the sun and this is definitely a mistake. You will stretch yourself too thin and will not be able to give each business the attention that it needs. I have also found that I do not enjoy businesses with a large monthly autoship because I feel very pressured to make my money back. If you know a lot of people, a low cost matrix program may be a good option for you. You can join one for as low as a one time fee that ranges between 1 and 10 dollars. These tend to work well if you know a lot of people. It takes a large downline in order to make a lot of money. You will also have an advantage if you are one of the first to join the program. There are other lower cost monthly programs that offer good products such as travel discounts and I like those as well. It really all depends on what you like and what you don't. Make sure that you research an opportunity thoroughly before joining because this can save you from losing a lot of money. Good Luck!

I will never forget the first time that I tried network marketing. What a disaster!!!! I hounded my friends and family and I was misled by a bunch of hype. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I gave up for a number of years because I thought that I just wasn't cut out for it. I later decided to give it just one more try and I am so thankful that I did so. I have learned so very much along the way. I learned that you must have a list in order to get anywhere. How do you make a list? You start by networking with others who are involved in marketing. One can join facebook groups in order to advertise and network. It is also very important to get to know these people. Comment on their posts and show an interest in them as a person. It is very true that a person joins you and not the business, this is why it is so important to build lasting relationships. I used my own advice and was able to build a downline of over 100 people when I joined the last opportunity. This is amazing to me because I never dreamed that it would be possible for me to become a successful network marketer. It is also important to keep a positive attitude and to never give up. Trust me, if I can do this, anyone can. :)
